morning routine: exam season.
waking up early, intermittent fasting, creating a vibe, breakfast & brainfood, my favorite content to watch ★
for about a week, i've been really trying to wake up earlier. since i 2020, i don’t know what happened to my hard-working self. i’m trying to make time for myself, my hobbies, and my studies—the most important things for me. they’re the only things holding me together, i swear. the start to a good life, i think, is a good morning routine.
let’s start.
waking up early
your morning routine starts the night prior, so go to bed at a reasonable time. pay attention to what you watch before going to bed; it could contribute to you waking up anxious. make sure there’s something fun waiting for you in the morning, like watching your favorite show or making time for a hobby. for me, it's blogging. don’t think that you have to start your day with a run or studying; no, start with something you’re excited about. being in a good mood will make you more productive when you have to do the less fun stuff.
at what hour do i wake up? knowing that i don’t go to my lectures because i like to do everything by myself. i only go to the library on normal days, and i wake up at 6/6:30 am. if i’m studying at home, for example, in exam season, i wake up at 7/7:30. weekends are my enemies; i still have to figure out how i want to organize those days.
intermittent fasting
it depends if i’m fasting or not, but generally, i don’t have breakfast before 8:30 if i wake up at 6/6:30 am. if i wake up at 7/7:30 and i know i’m staying home, i won’t have breakfast before 9.
i rarely skip breakfast because it’s literally my favorite meal of the day. it’s part of the things that make me happy. my go-to is really simple: black coffee (with sugar) with bread and butter, margarine, to be specific. i love margarine.
before having breakfast, though, i create a vibe. people get triggered by the word vibe, but i’m still using it, and i like it.
creating a vibe
my vibe lately has been waking up early, having red nails all the time, putting jazz or my tom and jerry or pink panther playlist, having an immaculately clean space, embodying the law student in me and visualizing the lawyer i’ll become, scrolling on pinterest and organising my spotify, planning my day, reading the articles i save on my notion, updating my twitter, blogging, putting an effort into looking put together, 50% of the times i hate make up, so generally i make sure my hair is perfect. i’m obsessed with my hair, i focusing on my eyes and putting lipliner. that’s it.

breakfast & brain food
when i finished doing everything i needed to do, cleaned up my space, wrote a post or an essay about something i’m obsessed with at that time, listened to my vibey music, it’s time to feed myself.
i like black coffee with bread and butter is my go-to, but i have to say that in hard times (exam season) i limit my coffee since it makes me anxious really fast. if i drink it, I would be staring at my textbook panicking for 6 hours. so in alternative, it’s always green tea with Nutella toast. no aesthetic oatmeal, no aesthetic fruit bowl.
while i eat my un-aesthetic breakfast, I have a few contents that I indulge in and I consider brain food.
anime: you either get it or you don’t. right now i’m watching naruto, but when i really wanna get motivated in life i re-watch attack on titan.
HealthyGamerGG (dr K) on youtube: he opened my eyes in so many ways. yall need to check his youtube channel. he’s a psychiatrist.

start studying
after breakfast it’s finally the time to put in the grind. at 9 - 10 am i start to prep and create a study vibe.
it’s all about the vibessss.
clean your space. clean your desk. wear comfy clothes. bring some drinks. put on a nice jazz playlist or just stay in silence. pick a long study with me videos. take deep breath. get the forest app or ypt and track your study time and motivate yourself by seeing the hours increase. make pretty notes but prioritize active recall.
